El papa Francisco llega a Irak en una visita histórica de tres días

El papa Francisco llegó este viernes a Bagdad en la primera visita de un pontífice a Irak, donde se acercará a la castigada comunidad cristiana del país, que fue brutalmente perseguida por los yihadistas del grupo Estado Islámico (EI) tras ocupar partes del territorio durante tres años.

Tal y como estaba previsto, el vuelo de la compañía Alitalia aterrizó en el aeropuerto de Bagdad sobre las 14.00 hora local (11.00 GMT) para iniciar una visita que durará tres días. EFE
